Luka is an extraordinarily talented and hard–working climber who has already established his name at the top of the lead world ranking. Like many great Slovenian climbers, Luka also grew up in a small, dusty room full of climbing holds – something every climbing enthusiast knows as a spray wall. He dominated at the youth competitions and he quickly became a member of Slovenia climbing team. After he gained some experience in the world cup circuit, his results and performance skyrocketed. In 2021 he became a vice-world champion in lead. Season 2022 was even more impressive – he won his first world cup, become a European vice-champion and for a cherry on the top, he also won the overall ranking in lead. Not bad for a 21-year-old guy
